The committee, made up of high school parent volunteers, will host the 16th annual Windsor High School After Prom following the junior-senior prom Saturday night and into Sunday morning at Reg Figal Gymnasium and the high school's auxiliary gym.
The After Prom is a way for high school students to have a good time in a safe, non-alcoholic drug-free environment. Games, prizes, a magician and food will top off the morning for the students. Windsor juniors and seniors who don't go to the prom in Fort Collins can still attend the After Prom.

"It's a place where the kids can come and there is going to be a safe environment," said Suzy Zigray, the prize committee chairwoman for After Prom.
"We have breakfast at the Windsor Community Recreation Center to keep the kids off the road," added Kendra Adams, the After Prom chairwoman.The After Prom was paid for by donations from local businesses and three After Prom fundraisers - fall fruit sale, concessions for the community barbecue at the Harvest Festival and Christmas in Windsor - that raised more than $10,000.
More than $10,000 worth of prizes will be handed out to Windsor students including iPods, luggage, digital cameras, portable DVD players, spa package, dormitory refrigerator and microwave, an accelerated sports package, a picture setting package for next year's senior pictures and other prizes.

The grand junior prize will be a limousine and flowers for next year's prom. The grand prize for a lucky Windsor senior will be a 1999 Dodge Durango SLT donated by Iron Mountain Autoplex, 871 Champion Drive, in Windsor. The completely serviced SUV is loaded with leather seats, cruise control, new tires, power windows, CD-ROM and air conditioning. The dark green Durango has 95,000 miles on it and is valued at $7,550. The SUV is parked in the parking lot of the Windsor Re-4 School District administration building in front of the high school.
"We really appreciate Iron Mountain for their generous donation in support of the Windsor High School After Prom," Adams said.

Joel Woltjen, the chief operating officer for Champion Auto Group, said After Prom is a worthwhile endeavor that keeps kids safe.
"When we moved to Windsor we made a decision to get involved in Windsor and support Windsor. The last thing we want to do is give away a vehicle that"s going to break down and cause some problems," Woltjen said. "Most of these kids are graduating and going off to college, so this is something that will get them to any college they want to go to in the country."
Owen Walker, general manager of Champion Chrysler Jeep Dodge, said Iron Mountain Autoplex owner John Chamberlain of Windsor wants to help out in any way he can. Iron Mountain Autoplex also donated a vehicle to last year's After Prom.
"I think he wants to maintain this to be an annual thing every year," Walker said.
Windsor High School principal Rick Porter was impressed with the car giveaway, as well as the other prizes available.

"To cap it off with an opportunity for a kid in our class to drive off to school or to work after high school is over in a vehicle of this caliber is just a great thing," Porter said.
Zigray said the community support is what makes After Prom so special.
"The wonderful thing is so many community members stepped forward and make it to where the kids want to be here … like the car that makes them want to come," Zigray said. "The community is what makes it possible for us to do what we do."

1:15-2 a.m. (Magician Frank Klein of Colorado Springs will entertain students in the high school auditorium)
